ITALIA’S
NEW SOPHIA LOREN: Valeria
Golino is Italian cinema's dream come true - a star with the allure of the
young Sophia Loren.
Link
Now this is what
you call a star entrance. Italian actress Valeria Golino strides through the
door of a London hotel suite and bears down on me with a purposeful if amused
look in her cobalt blue eyes. As she walks, her mane of wavy, reddish-brown
hair flies every which way, and her hips swing meaningfully. Tall and slim,
she is swathed in grey…

t 10. I gave up on religion and all the social values I learned from my tutor. He was a religious person but a bitter artist. He made me afraid. He told me I will never make it! He said” artists are born to suffer, do not be a sucker, go do something else.” I need to talk to you. I need your moral support. I think I am a good artist but I am very depressed now. INDEXING DE LA CROIX’S CONTEMPO-BLACK AND WHITE PAINTINGS linkI suppose you were waiting for our
report in the indexing Mr. de La Croix’s “Noir et Blanc” Series and other
mono-chroma work. We have just finished this indexing some 50 paintings. We are
working like crazy. My God, this man is so productive. How are we going to
catalog 4,000 paintings of his? It is going to take us 4 centuries. We will do
it. I saw the reports from Germany, Belgium and France. It is good! As you
already know by now, many of these paintings were rescued by his sister Countess
Aurele. Almost 35% of them were not …link
Dear Erica: First, let
me e welcome you back, I hope you
had a great vacation in Nice. During your absence, Mrs. Valerie Constand did a
great job. Erica, when are you going to publish the series on World Cabaret. I
am so anxious to read it. Meanwhile, can I ask you this question, please?
Thank you. I read an article in a Middle Eastern magazine about cabarets and
cabaret artists. I found that cabarets in the Arab world are not really highly
respected. They are places where women of the nights usually work. Is it true?
In America, cabarets are different. I saw some of them while visiting
California. Believe me I cannot tell my parents or associates that I have
visited Cabarets in America because, they all think that
Cabarets are places of pleasures of the night, where you open a bottle
of champagne for a hired woman by the cabaret and you hope to spend the night
with here. How many kinds of cabarets they are and why they vary in services
and nature from one country to another?….link

SCREEN ACTING:
What takes good screen
acting and makes it great screen acting? Opinions on this will vary, just as
opinions on who are the great actors will vary. While some great actors will
appeal to the majority of their audience, very few will appeal to all. Each
great actor, however, will have a different combination of qualities that will
make his or her acting stand above the acting of merely good actors. A great
performance must contain something special, the intangible parts of a
performance: charisma, depth, mystery, and screen presence…link
